Fairfax County Is Built In Campuses
Fairfax County's offices are mostly spread out. Low and mid-rise buildings sit on campuses ringed by surface parking, along I-66, Route 50 and the Fairfax County Parkway.
So the job here is less about freight elevators and more about moving a crew across a property and keeping every entrance to the same standard.
The local concept
Campus Spread
Campus spread is what happens when one account covers several buildings on one property, each with its own entrance, restrooms and break room. It comes from how the county grew: office parks laid out for cars along the interstate and parkway corridors, not towers stacked on a Metro stop.
You plan it as a route. The scope lists every building, the order the crew works them, and which entries get extra attention when the lots are wet or salted.
Why Fairfax County Businesses Call Us
Contractor offices out toward Chantilly
Government contractors around Fair Lakes, Fair Oaks and Chantilly screen who enters their suites. Cleaners there are vetted employees on a fixed list, and off-limits rooms are written down before night one.
Tysons towers
Tysons is the exception to the campus rule: Class A towers by the Silver Line stations and Tysons Corner Center, with docks and freight elevators to book. Those accounts run like a downtown building.
Merrifield and the Mosaic District
The Mosaic District and the medical buildings around Inova Fairfax Hospital mix shops, offices and clinical suites, each with its own standard.
Reston and Herndon offices
Reston Town Center and the offices along the Dulles Toll Road hold tech and corporate tenants who want open floors, kitchens and conference rooms reset nightly.
Schools, training centers and daycares
Private schools, training centers and daycares get classrooms wiped down and restrooms sanitized once students head home, using products suited to children.
Retail at Fair Oaks and Springfield
Stores around Fair Oaks Mall and the Springfield shopping centers want sales floors, glass and restrooms ready at opening, with the trash enclosures out back washed on a set rotation.

Areas We Serve in Fairfax, Virginia
What Facility Cleaning in Fairfax, Virginia Involves
The City And The County Are Separate
The City of Fairfax is an independent city and a separate jurisdiction from unincorporated Fairfax County. Fair Oaks, Burke, Centreville and Chantilly are county addresses routinely called Fairfax. For a multi-site contract it is worth establishing which is which at the start, because the county and the city do not share permitting or inspections.
Contractor Space Has Its Own Rules
A large share of the office space around Fairfax and out toward Chantilly is leased by government contractors, and parts of those buildings are not areas a cleaning crew can enter unescorted or at all. The scope has to name which spaces are in, which are escorted and which are excluded, in writing, before the first night.
Fairfax County Starts At The Beltway
Fairfax County wraps around Arlington, Alexandria and the two independent cities. As the crow flies, the middle of the county lies roughly 15 miles west of central DC, and Tysons roughly 10.
I-66 is the main route west to Merrifield, Fair Oaks and Centreville, and VA 267, the Dulles Toll Road, splits off toward Tysons, Reston and Herndon. I-495, the Capital Beltway, ties the inner county together, and VA 286, the Fairfax County Parkway, links the outer office parks from Springfield to Reston.
Dashed ring: 40 miles from the Capitol.

Yes. Chantilly and Centreville both sit roughly 22 miles west of central DC, within the area we serve.
Do you clean contractor space in Fairfax County?
